Emma Harris

Unlike the rest of Rise Dance Studio’s staff, Emma didn’t start dancing as a child but at the ripe old age of 36. With the encouragement of her daughter, she failed at being just a dance mum. Starting dance only 4 years ago with a single ballet class, she had every intention of a hard pass with end of year concerts, let alone participating in competitions. It wasn’t until the 2020 covid lock downs closed her ballet class that Miss Aimee was able to convince her to try the Jazz/Tap class. Miss Emma now spends an awful lot of time at the studio both as a student and assisting, and dances with the Jazz and Lyrical Open Age Troupes. She has discovered a love for the creative outlet and escape from the pressures of being a busy working mum and the family she has found with Rise has been nothing short of amazing.
