Aimee McCormick

Aimee is the Founder, Studio Owner and Principal Teacher of Rise Dance Studio. Miss Aimee started dancing at the age of 9 under her mentor, Kate Darch, owner of The Platinum Zone (formerly known as Dance Focus). She has trained in the CSTD syllabus achieving her student teacher diploma and winning both the Martin Rubenstein and Dorothy Gladstone awards. She also trained at WAAPA in 2010 and has completed her Certificate II in Ballet and Contemporary, as well as module 1 and 2 in Acrobatic Arts. She was the Mandurah Performing Arts Theatrical Scholarship winner in 2011 and was also accepted into the Intensive Training Program based in Vancouver, Canada in 2011 where she spent the year training with world renowned teachers.

Brittany Muir

Brittany started dancing at the age of 2 under Miss Kate at The Platinum Zone (formally known as Dance Focus) and has also danced at the Gail Meade Performing Arts Centre. She has trained intensively in the CSTD syllabus and has completed her Blue Sash examination (highest award in the theatrical syllabus) in the top 5% of the state. In 2014 and 2018, she travelled to the USA where she performed on Hollywood Boulevard, Universal Studios and Disney Land. In 2017, she travelled to Sydney and took part in the Global Dance Convention. Miss Britt has completed a certificate with Acrobatic Arts: AcroDance preschool program. She has been with Rise Dance Studio since they opened in 2021.

Emily Chaplyn

Emily found the love of dancing at the young age of 4 years old. Starting off as a self taught acrobat before moving to her first dance studio. Throughout her time as a dancer she has trained in all genres of dance, but found her love in jazz, acro and hiphop. She joined Miss Aimee in 2022 and the following year was invited to assist classes and in 2025 was given the opportunity to take her own classes. This allowed her to have a new found passion for teaching and she cannot wait to share love, passion and knowledge with others.

Emma Robinson

Emma has been dancing since 3 years old, dancing every style she could get her hands on. Over the past 16 years in the industry, she has found her love in acrobatics and contemporary. Miss Emma has been an assistant instructor since the age of 13, always looking for new ways to become a better dancer and teacher. Miss Emma works full time as a nanny and previously in centre-based childcare, being the diploma qualified room leader of a babies room and having experience with children of all ages and abilities. She has been competing for the past 6 years gaining competition experience but recently, has been entering her own choreography which she has received many awards and praise for. Since teaching her own classes in 2022, Miss Emma strives for an inclusive and supportive environment that everyone feels safe in.

Kate Darch

Kate has been teaching for over twenty years. Holding a Diploma in Theatrical Studies (Jazz, Tap & Ballet) as well as a separate Diploma in Tap and a Teaching Certificate in Modern Jazz through the Commonwealth Society of Teachers of Dancing. As the director of her own dance studio, Miss Kate has had extensive experience in preparing students for competitions in both troupe and solo work as well as examinations with extremely successful results. She is proud to say that she has had students who through their training have gone on to be accepted into and undertake both interstate and international dance opportunities. She is looking forward to working with all the students at Rise and bringing out the best in them.

Available to work with students of all ages for Tap and students up to the age of 10 for all other genres

Sharni Quinsee

Sharni has been dancing for over 10 years doing all genres from jazz, tap, lyrical, contemporary, ballet, and acrobatics. She danced competitively and completed CSTD examinations under Miss Kate at The Platinum Zone, gaining technique and performance qualities.
She has taught at Rise for nearly three years, always focusing on safe progression, strength, flexibility, and confidence. She is passionate about helping dancers reach their full potential while creating a positive and inspiring learning environment.
